A vegan logo is a logo that symbolizes the registered trademark that doesn’t contain any animal products or by-products and also has not been tested on animals.
The V-label is the internationally registered logo for vegan and vegetarian products and services. It is recognized internationally by all consumers. It is a simple and reliable guide for consumers to find out vegan and vegetarian products during their grocery shopping.
The new logo was introduced to represents vegan products. Earlier we had a green dot inside a green square box of vegetarian products (Red Dot) and the same followed for the non-vegetarian products (Red Dot) but with a different colour red. Now it has been re-designed to a V-label which has the word ‘VEGAN’ at the bottom and a plant symbol on the top. This logo has been approved by FSSAI.
USES OF VEGAN LOGO
It helps the consumer to identify the nature of the products. Vegans or vegetarians can easily recognize the products or ingredients which has the logo on them. It makes the shopping work easier for the people. It is a symbol that can be identified by every people across the world.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VEGANS (V) AND VEGETARIANS (Green Dot)
A vegan and vegetarian are two different types of people consuming vegan products and vegetarian products. A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, eggs and fish. But the vegans do not consume their by-products too. For example- milk, honey and other dairy products. They support to prevent harming the animals by avoid eating the animal products and by-products.
ADVANTAGES OF VEGAN LOGO
The vegan logo helps to classify the products or ingredients from the non-vegan products. The usage of the vegan logo is directly proportional to the manufacturing of vegan products. The production of vegan products can control the consumption of animal products and their by-products.
